LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –Arkansas Baptist leaders are invited to gather Jan. 22-23 at New Life Baptist Church in Alexander for the annual Arkansas Baptist Statewide Conference on Evangelism and Church Health (ECON).
The evangelism conference reminds church leaders to bring the mission and message of Jesus to the forefront of their ministries. Special guests this year will be Mark Clifton, Noe Garcia, Todd Kaunitz, Nathan Lino, Fred Luter, David McKinney and Cross Church Worship, Shane Pruitt, and Ken Whitten. On Monday morning, before the evangelism conference begins, there will be two workshops available beginning at 9:30 am. The annual prayer workshop for church staff and lay leaders will be led by Kaunitz. The church revitalization workshop, new this year, will be led by Clifton.
On Tuesday, attendees have the opportunity to participate in practical workshop lunches for several different ministerial positions. The workshops are from noon to 1:30 p.m. These include a pastors’ lunch and workshop led by Nathan Lino, a worship ministers’ lunch and workshop led by Joe Crider, a next gen (children & student leaders) lunch and workshop led by Shane Pruitt, a ministers’ wives and women in ministry lunch and workshop led by Catherine Renfro, and a church administration lunch and workshop led by the Arkansas Baptist Foundation. ECON also provides an opportunity through Mission Connection for church leaders to meet Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) planters and missionaries serving around the world.
A Mission Connection Meet and Greet Dinner will be held 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Building in Little Rock. Pastors, church staff members, or missions team/committee leaders who live locally, or are coming in early for ECON are invited to come to the dinner and hear from missionaries.
