WALNUT RIDGE – Williams Baptist University (WBU) recognized 14 employees who have reached milestones and presented them with service awards during WBU’s employee Christmas party Thursday, Dec. 12.
“All of the recipients honored with these presentations have poured themselves into shaping the lives of young women and men at WBU, and they have done so for a remarkable number of years. We appreciate them tremendously,” said Stan Norman, president of WBU.
Those presented with service awards were:
Mary Ann Smith, who works in the Office of Business Affairs, was recognized for 45 years of service.
Carol Halford, chair of the Division of Professional Studies and assistant professor of physical education, was recognized for 35 years of service.
Robert Foster, chair of the Department of Christian Ministries and professor of religion, was recognized for 20 years of service.
Ann Paterson, Nell I. Mondy Professor and chair of the Department of Natural Sciences, was recognized for 20 years of service.
Blake McGinnis, director of information technology, was recognized for 15 years of service.
Steve McMann, associate professor of biology, was recognized for 15 years of service.
Ruth Provost, associate professor and chair of the Department of Psychology, was recognized for 15 years of service.
Susie Smith, administrative assistant for the physical plant, was recognized for 15 years of service.
Larry Bailey, network service coordinator, was recognized for 10 years of service.
Deana Conley, administrative assistant for the Office of Student Affairs, was recognized for 10 years of service.
Andrew Watson, director of financial aid, was recognized for 10 years of service.
Charlotte Wheeless, associate professor of education and La Delle Moody Chair of Education, was recognized for 10 years of service.
Jennifer Howard, housekeeping supervisor, was recognized for five years of service.
Blake Perkins, associate professor and chair of the Department of History, was recognized for five years of service.
