LITTLE ROCK – Following a January weather cancellation, the Evangelism Conference (ECON) has been rescheduled for March 9 as a one-day gathering designed to encourage and equip church leaders across Arkansas.

The conference is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. The streamlined format will preserve the heart of ECON while offering a simplified, focused experience centered on advancing the gospel.

For years, ECON has served as a meaningful space for pastors, church staff and ministry leaders to find renewal and encouragement.

“ECON helps set the tone for our churches and our convention, and that’s why rescheduling mattered. Even in a simplified, one-day format, this gathering allows us to rally together around the gospel and be strengthened for the work God has called us to,” said Arkansas Baptists’ Evangelism + Church Health Team Leader Warren Gasaway.

The rescheduled event will feature two speakers, Mark Hallock and Mark Mittelberg. Morning sessions will focus on practical tools and equipping for ministry, while afternoon sessions will emphasize encouragement and empowerment for leaders as they serve in their local contexts.

“Their sessions will offer both practical equipping and gospel-centered encouragement—exactly what many of our leaders need right now,” Gasaway said.

“We believe this day will be a timely encouragement and a reminder that we are better together in advancing the gospel.”

Arkansas Baptists are encouraged to mark their calendars and plan to attend. No registration is required. Additional details, including the full schedule, are available at absc.org/ECON.
