The Kid Ministry Conference, a one-day event focused on training and encouragement for church volunteers and leaders, will take place April 25 at Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The one-day event will help church leaders reignite passion, refresh vision and reimagine what’s possible in reaching the next generation in the local church. Church leaders and volunteers from across the state will be encouraged, equipped, and reminded of why the calling means so much.
The event will feature four main sessions, worship, and collaborative opportunities. Attendees are expected to leave with practical tools and renewed motivation for ministry work. The conference theme, “From Generation to Generation,” emphasizes the long-term impact of investing in children’s spiritual development and equipping families to nurture faith at home.
Cassie Bryant and Sam Luce will lead the sessions and help churches provide a framework for their ministries in creating discipleship-focused spaces and partnering with families as they disciple in the home.
Bryant serves as lead NextGen minister at Northway Church in Dallas. She previously worked as a children’s minister at The Village Church and has more than 20 years of experience in family ministry. Bryant is known for her focus on equipping parents as primary disciplers and encouraging churches not to underestimate the spiritual capacity of children.
Luce, director of ChildDiscipleship.com at Awana, is a former pastor with 28 years of ministry experience, Luce has written extensively on children’s ministry and co-authored books including “Forming Faith” and “How to Teach Kids Theology.” He is widely recognized as a frequent conference speaker and contributor to the broader “kidmin” movement.
An additional Vacation Bible School (VBS) workshop will follow the conference. From 3:30 to 5 p.m., the VBS session will provide an overview of the Lifeway Illumination Station VBS. It will cover rotational content, how to lead a gospel presentation, and equip attendees with practical tools to make their VBS Gospel-centered and discipleship focused.
When we invest in kids, we strengthen families, we strengthen churches, we impact eternity.
