Camp Siloam, a Christian camp for children, youth and families – funded, in part, by the Arkansas Baptist churches giving through the Cooperative Program – is seeking a candidate for its Director of Programs. After a season of great change and up-rooting, Jason Wilkie, Executive Director of Camp Siloam feels that God is preparing Camp Siloam for a new season and a new team.
The Director of Programs position at Camp Siloam is an integral part of the staff that helps steer the direction of camps each year. Wilkie shared, “Creating activities and implementing a program are pretty easy things to do. However, the Director of Programs’ position is very influential in shaping the culture of the ministry. Robert Coppedge, former Director of Programs, did a great job building Camp Siloam’s culture into one of freedom, acceptance, intentional conversations and camper engagement all structured around the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
The legacy left by Coppedge with the Gospel integrated into all aspects is one that Wilkie hopes will be built upon. “We are looking for a person who can advance the program and culture based upon the foundations Coppedge has established. We need a person who will be part of the team that drives us toward our key objectives and makes Camp Siloam the greatest place on earth in the eyes of every camper that comes through the arch,”
