The historical events of this season will serve to define the emerging generation of children. There is no question now that the world they are growing up in is not the same world we knew just a few short months ago. For better or worse, our world has changed. The world around us is always changing, but not all things need to change. What is normal changes, but what is healthy does not. What is popular changes by the minute, but whatever is right today was right yesterday and will be right tomorrow. New challenges bring more paths to sorrow and despair, but hope is always found in the same places. Keeping siblings together, restoring families, facilitating adoptions, and strengthening vulnerable families…these are just a few of the ways hope has been kindled in our ministries, even during this season. Children need a God-honoring family. Whether or not this idea is normal or popular, it is healthy and right. This belief has been the driving force of concerned Arkansas Baptists for well over a century and has never been more relevant than in the broken world we live in today.
In a world that is increasingly more fragmented, we can unite around the unwavering mission to put children in safe and stable Christian families. Arkansas Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries is a ministry you can count on to invest in the next generation with the everlasting hope of Jesus Christ. The world may be different, but this mission won’t change.
