MAN UP 2021

It’s time to get your friends together and make plans to join men from across the state on Saturday, April 24 for MAN UP 2021 at Spring Lake Camp and Retreat Center located in Lonsdale, AR. The idea for MAN UP was birthed out of a desire to see men come together again, after the long layoff forced on all of us by the COVID 19 pandemic. We want to offer men a time of fellowship and fun as they share their passions, strike up Gospel conversations and introduce their lost friends to a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

Man UP 2021 will feature various activities and contests for men of all ages from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Activities will be followed by a wild game supper at 5:00 p.m. and a closing Gospel message brought by Laramie LeQuieu, ABSC Church Health Leadership Specialist and avid outdoorsman.

The event will wrap up by 7:00 p.m. at the latest. The cost is just $10 per person and is payable when you arrive.

COVID mandates and guidelines in place at the time of the event will be followed to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.

CONNECT Gospel Share for students

The goal of CONNECT Gospel Share is to give students an opportunity to be a part of something bigger than themselves, even though we cannot all be together in one location. We want to provide resources to help them share the Gospel with someone that they know is lost. At the same time, we want them to realize that they do not have to do this on their own, even though they may be physically separated.

Many believers (students and adults) have never shared the Gospel before. It’s not just that they don’t know how to share their faith, many of them simply do not know how to articulate the Gospel message. We want to equip them to share the Gospel using the Gospel wristbands that will be provided for each student.

As part of CONNECT Gospel Share, students and their adult leaders will be asked to identify at least one lost person that they can share the Gospel with. They will take the month of March to pray for that person. Then on Saturday April 10, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (the hours that CONNECT projects would normally take place) they will be asked to share the Gospel with the person they have been praying for.

Student pastors are also asked to enlist adults who can assist students when/if they need help during their Gospel presentation. Students might run into questions that they can’t answer. This is where the adults come in. The adults will agree to be on call during certain hours on Saturday, April 10. Students will have a list of names and phone numbers to contact if they get into a conversation and need help with the person they are talking to. They can contact one of the adults and that individual will be ready to talk by phone, Facetime, Zoom, or text to help them answer any questions. Students can start conversations knowing that they will have help if they get in a bind.
