Elkins, Arkansas

First Baptist Church of Elkins is seeking the Lord’s will as we are searching for our new head pastor and is currently accepting resumes.   We are a church that exists to help people connect with God and others in vital relationship, grow in their walk with God, and be involved in sharing the love of Jesus.   We believe our next pastor will be filled with the Holy Spirit to boldly proclaim the Word of God with a focus on applying it in our everyday lives.   We are looking for a Pastor who deeply loves his congregation and has a heart for community outreach which is shown in both word and deed.

FBCE began in 1969 as a church mission of Ridgeview Baptist, located 7 miles west in Fayetteville, with the goal of reaching the people of Elkins with the love of Christ.  The church became incorporated as FBCE in 1970.  Throughout the years the church has grown in number and real estate.  With a focus on reaching the children and youth of Elkins, we built a gym and kitchen facility in 1987.  In 2007 we purchased a home next door so that we could expand our classroom space.  Prior to Covid we were exploring additional options to expand our facilities once again.  Our Sunday School attendance currently averages around 85 and Morning Worship is around 100.  Our Wednesday night Awana program during the school season is running around 80.  During this interim time without a pastor, we have seen our members be revitalized, unified, and invested in the health and growth of our church.  For more information regarding our church, please visit our website at

Elkins is a vibrant community experiencing substantial growth.  Current city population is estimated to be over 4,000.  The Elkins Preschool through High School public school system spans much of eastern Washington county and is home to over 1,200 students.
