First Baptist Church, Stuttgart, Arkansas is seeking a Senior Pastor to complete and lead a Godly, experienced ministerial team and established congregation.
FBC Stuttgart’s history dates to 1888, soon after the community’s founding. While rich in history, we worship inboth traditional and contemporary styles while holding fast to the unerring, relevant Word of God. We are a multi-generational congregation, experiencing growth in those both young-in-age and young-in-faith, as well as in mature believers. We are an SBC congregation and a member of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. We fully support the collaborative efforts of our denomination and those organizations.
Our Senior Pastor will be a man of God, committed to following his call to shepherd a congregation. He will prepare God’s people for works of service so the body of Christ may be built up until we reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:12-13
He will be an experienced pastor whose educational backgroundmay include MTS, MATS, MDiv, ThM or other applicable degree from an accredited seminary. He must share the compassion of Jesus Christ for people while demonstrating maturity and discipline.
He will lead and be supported by a staff including the Minister of Music, Minister of Education, Minister of Youth, Church Secretary, and Financial Secretary, all of whom have between three and 21 years of experience at FBC Stuttgart, as well as maintenance/groundskeeping and housekeeping personnel.
Our Senior Pastor will:
• demonstrate true Christ-like behavior as well as godly wisdom and discernment.• possess a diverse background of pastoral experience.• demonstrate strong teaching and preaching skills as he leadsworship services, including regular services and special events (weddings, funerals, revivals, etc.).• be mission-oriented and discipleship-motivated, with a genuine interest in people, fully devoted to the Great Commission and seeking the lost.• possess strong leadership skills; be able to lead personnel as well as administrative and operational planning.• offer pastoral counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups, as a means of aiding in during times of crisis and periods of adjustment.• possess strong interpersonal skills to work closely and cohesively with church staff, deacons, and ministry teams.Resumes, references, and other applicable documents are welcomed at [email protected].
