The First Baptist Church of Clinton, Arkansas is seeking a Senior Pastor who meets the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:6–9, and 1 Peter 5:1–5, and adheres to Baptist Faith and Message 2000 in life and doctrine.
Clinton, Arkansas is nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains on Greers Ferry Lake, surrounded by the beauty of nature and abundant opportunities for recreation. The county seat of Van Buren County, and just over an hour from Little Rock, Clinton is well-accommodated with schools, amenities, and a hospital, not to mention a community ready and willing to care for its residents.
First Baptist Church was founded in 1935 and is situated on 7+ acres along Hwy. 65. The church’s facilities cover nearly 50ksq.ft., including a worship center, educational space, family life center, and student building. First Baptist is debt-free and averages 200 in weekly attendance. For decades, Clinton’s First Baptist Church has been known across the state as a generous, mission-minded congregation ready to fulfill the mission God has for them.
First Baptist’s ideal Senior Pastor candidate is a servant-leader with proven ability equipping and empowering leaders to fulfill the mission of the church. He has experience developing and implementing strategies for the church’s ministries, including discipleship, outreach, assimilation, and missions. He should have significant pastoral experience overseeing a multi-staff team complemented with high-capacity lay-leaders. He utilizes an expository style of preaching punctuated with practical application, gospel presentation, and public invitation. A seminary degree is preferred, but consideration will also be given to those actively pursuing this.
