ABDR deploys teams to Texas in wake of wildfires

Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief (ABDR) recovery teams are on their way to Texas to aid areas impacted by wildfires ravaging the state.

According to recent CBS articles, the wildfires in the Texas Panhandle have left at least two people dead, burned more than a million acres of land and killed thousands of animals. It was reported more than 7,000 heads of cattle have died in the fires so far and the final count could end up including thousands more.

The ABDR recovery team that left Thursday, March 7, are from First Baptist Church in Clarksville and Cross Church.  The team will be focusing on ash out, sifting through ash to help families and individuals locate valuable items that survived the fires.

Please continue to pray for those impacted as they navigate the days ahead and all Disaster Relief volunteers. The wildfires are the largest in Texas history.
