After 10 years of serving as the women’s ministry specialist for the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC), Andrea Lennon has accepted a new position with Lifeway Christian Resources.

Lennon’s last day with the ABSC was Sept. 21. She closed out her tenure worshiping with women from across the state at the Arkansas Baptist Women Conference.

“I’ve loved everything about serving with Arkansas Baptists – the people, the ministry and watching the development and the growth among women in Arkansas,” Lennon said.

Lennon began her new role as director of women with Lifeway on Sept. 23. She will oversee the vision, strategy, and implementation of products and processes for equipping and encouraging women so they will love the Lord, His Word, and the local church.

“I am so honored to serve in this role. Over the years, my life has been impacted by the resources and opportunities Lifeway creates and provides. To have the opportunity to give direction and vision to Lifeway Women is a full circle moment for me. This is also an opportunity to take what I’ve learned here in Arkansas and with my ministry, Andrea Lennon Ministry, and to bring it all together in one role,” Lennon said. “I am really excited about that, about the synergy this new role is going to create, and the opportunity to minister to a much broader audience as Lifeway has a significant imprint nationally and globally.”

In this new role, Lennon will continue to do everything she has always done, just in some new and exciting ways. “My passion will always be encouraging women to know, live, and share the truth,” Lennon shared.

Lennon described the transition as bittersweet.

“I love Arkansas so much. I love the ministry that happens in Arkansas. I want women to know and local churches to know, I believe deeply in the work we have done and the work that will continue to happen,” Lennon said. “I am honored to have had the privilege to serve as the women’s ministry specialist. I am grateful. I will never get over it. It has been such an honor. I am so excited for the next person who is going to come and sit in this seat because I know just as God is calling me to that next seat, He is calling someone else to this seat. And I will be their biggest champion. I will be their prayer warrior. I will support them every single step of the way.”

Lennon is a 2004 graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Education, founder of Andrea Lennon Ministry, author of numerous books, and much more. She’s a lover of Jesus and a down to earth wife, mom, and friend.

Since Lifeway is a remote company, Lennon said she plans to remain in Arkansas, based in Conway, and will continue to be very supportive of the great women’s ministry in Arkansas.

“I will continue to be an Arkansas Baptist woman. You will see me at the events. I am very grateful for the time and relationships and all that I have learned from Arkansas Baptists and Arkansas Baptist women,” she said.

Women can continue to follow Lennon on all her usual socials and at Lifeway Women. For more on Lennon, click here.
