PARON, Ark. – Andrew Campbell has been selected as the next Camp Paron manager.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Campbell has lived in Arkansas since 2004. He has pastored Newton County Baptist Church since January 2017 and has been the mission director at Rock Haven Bible Camp since February 2022.
“The role of camp manager will allow me to utilize the skills and talents I have developed over the years, and I am very excited to be the next manager,” Campbell said. “There is so much potential at Camp Paron and seeing the camp being used more is a top priority. I am looking forward to getting to be a part of what God will do with and through the camp.”
A ministry of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC), Camp Paron has provided the backdrop for camps, conferences, and retreats for more than 50 years.
ABSC Executive Director Dr. Rex Horne said he is pleased that Campbell has agreed to serve as camp manager. Campbell will begin his duties at Camp Paron on Jan. 1.
“His years in camp ministry will help bring new life to Paron,” Horne said.
Campbell and his wife, Kim, have 10 children and 21 grandchildren. They enjoy the outdoors and are looking forward to exploring the different aspects of the Ouachitas.
