LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The 167th annual meeting of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) will convene tomorrow at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention building in Little Rock for a condensed schedule.
In an article posted in September, it was first reported that due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic the annual meeting was moved to Little Rock from First Baptist Church in Rogers. The Executive Board will be looking at and making decisions on essential business for 2021: annual budget, Convention Nominating Committee recommendations, ministry goals for the teams of the Executive Board, and Convention officers. This plan is acceptable in light of the ABSC constitution and bylaws. The emergency clause allows the Executive Board to make the essential annual decisions required by the constitution on behalf of the Convention.
