Arkansas Baptist Foundation holds quarterly board meeting

The Board of Directors of the Arkansas Baptist Foundation (ABF) held its regularly scheduled Quarterly Board Meeting on Thursday, November 14th at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC).  

Dan Jordan, consultant for the ABSC gave the opening devotional about servant leadership out of Mark 9:35 and Luke 16:13.  He reminded the board and staff of God’s call on us to serve at every level and steward assets well.  

Highlights of the Board Meeting included:  

  • Camp Siloam agency report from Jeff Dial, Executive Director, shared the 2025 goal for Siloam is to follow the mission of 1 Timothy 1:5 and for everyone who visits to experience God and make a kingdom impact. Dial reported 600 salvations, 230 rededications, and 111 calls to ministry in the 2024 summer season.  
  • Staff profile of Patrick Henry, former Vice President Ministry Services for ABF, now Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer for the ABSC, who thanked the board for his time with the Foundation and shared about his new role with the ABSC. Henry is looking forward to continuing to work with the Foundation in a different capacity. 
  • Approval of 2025 Ezra Amos distributions and review of how this fund has supported mission work in Israel and among the Israelite people. 
  • Finalization of the Foundation’s 2025 operating budget. 
  • Approval of the Executive Committee’s motion to continue to use Landmark PLC as the Foundation’s auditor. As well as approval of 2025 officers, which will include Mark Conine as Chair, Natalie Johnson as Vice Chair, John McMorran as Secretary, Bobby Thomas as President, Dillon McClain as Vice President, and Eric Davis as Treasurer.  
  • Approval to rebrand and redefine Family Office Services offered through the Foundation to be renamed Ministry Support Services and to further define the appropriate role for the Foundation providing services to ministry supporters as an extension of the local church. 
  • Recognition of Jay Shell, current ABF Chair, for leading the Board this past year as well as acknowledging Clay Cunningham and Will Rusher for completing their terms of service on the Board.
