RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The 172nd Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) will take place Oct. 20-21 at First Baptist Church in Russellville.
The 2025 Annual Meeting will begin Monday evening, Oct. 20, in concurrence with the conclusion of the Pastors’ Conference and end Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 21. The two-day event will include the election of officers, recommendations from the Executive Board, miscellaneous business, reports from the Credentials Committee, Convention Nominating Committee, and Cooperative Program ministry reports from Arkansas Baptist leaders.

Among the recommendations to be presented to the Convention is the ABSC 2026-2028 budget formula, which would allocate 59% of Cooperative Program funds to state causes, 40% to Southern Baptist Convention causes, and an additional 1% to the International Mission Board.
Additionally, the 2026 ABSC Cooperative Program (CP) budget of $20 million will be presented as well as the 2026 goals of the ABSC Executive Board teams.

Messengers during the Annual Meeting will also vote on the report of the Convention Nominating Committee’s recommendations of Arkansas Baptists for service on the various ABSC Boards.
Only elected messengers are eligible to vote on Convention business, but everyone is welcome to connect and fellowship with other Arkansas Baptists from around the state at the convention as they join to worship, hear timely sermons, pray together, and celebrate all that God is doing in Arkansas.
Anyone desiring to present a resolution should provide a copy of the proposed resolution before Tuesday, Oct. 14.
