‘Around The State’ is a new segment being added to our eMagazine that goes out bi-weekly to our email subscriber list. In this segment, which will appear in the last issue of each month, we’ll be featuring churches’ staff changes, as well as church news and big announcements you send us. We want Arkansas Baptists to know what’s going on around the state and be able to celebrate together and encourage each other.
Here are some news and updates from “Around the State.”
- At the ABSC we’ve had several staff transitions. Madison Offenbacker is transitioning from the Communications Team to Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Tarvoris “Tee” Uzoigwe transitioned from BCM minister at UAPB to First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia, and Becky Sanders is transitioning from the College + Young Leaders team to Executive Assistant at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.
- At Trinity Baptist Church in Texarkana, pastor Andy Coats shared that they recently filled several positions: Jenn Parks as the Director of Kids Ministry, Landon Price as the Director of High School Ministry, Josh Mudford as Director of Pastoral Care, and Jeff Stotts as Associate Pastor of Worship, Arts & Media
- Cross Church recently celebrated becoming debt-free as well as celebrating their 2,500 baptism. Senior Pastor, Nick Floyd also celebrated his 10-year anniversary at Cross Church.
- Perryville Second Baptist Church (founded in 1996) will be celebrating its 25-year anniversary this year.
- Kathy Faulkner joined Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church in Paragould as the Children’s Director
- Dillion Swain joined First Baptist Church in Beebe as their Student Pastor in October from Kensett First Baptist where he also served as Student Pastor.
