‘Around The State’ is a segment in the eMagazine that goes out bi-weekly to our email subscriber list. In this segment, which appears in the first issue of each month, we feature churches’ staff changes, as well as church news and big announcements you send us. We want Arkansas Baptists to know what’s going on around the state and be able to celebrate together and encourage each other.
- Xandra Jetton (High School Bible Drill) and Rhonnie Jetton (Youth Bible Drill) represented Arkansas Baptist State Convention at the National Bible Drill + Speakers Tournament held at Dallas Baptist University on June 18. Xandra and Rhonnie competed against participants from seven other states. The National Bible Drill + Speakers Tournament is held annually for State Bible Drill + Speakers Tournament winners.
- First Baptist Church in Prescott announced that Bro. Clay Doss began serving as the music minister on May 2 & Bro. Derrick Shults was called as the associate/youth pastor on June 1.
- First Baptist Church in Lincoln will celebrate their 100th anniversary this month. Revival services are planned for July 8-11.
- Solid Rock Baptist Church in Little Rock will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.
- Jenn Parks is the director of children’s ministry at Trinity Baptist Church in Texarkana.
