‘Around the State’ is a segment in the eMagazine that goes out every other Thursday to our email subscriber list. In this segment, we feature church staff changes, as well as church news and announcements you send to us. We want Arkansas Baptists to know what’s going on around the state and be able to celebrate together and encourage each other.

- Steve and Jeannie Abbott were honored on July 25 for their 27 years of loving and faithful service upon his retirement as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
- First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs is pleased to announce Jeremy DeGroot from Tyrone, Georgia as their new Senior Pastor beginning August 1.
- First Baptist Church in Bentonville is pleased to announce that Chris Dixon from Dublin, George is now serving as Senior Pastor.
- Tim (Tyler) Fox will begin serving as Lead Pastor at Victory Baptist Church, Backgate on August 2.
- New Hope Baptist Church, Pollard will celebrate their 175th anniversary on August 29. Bro. Matthew Collier is the pastor.
- Cornerstone Baptist Church in Gentry will celebrate 25 years of ministry with games, singing, a fellowship meal and cake and ice cream on Saturday, August 21 and a special worship service on Sunday, August 22.
- Hillary Loftin, ABSC Evangelism+Church Health Team ministry assistant, is pursuing a new opportunity to work with Connected Foster Care.
- Ellen Cortez, ABSC Church Planting Team ministry assistant, is pursuing a new opportunity at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
