WALNUT RIDGE – Christian music will have a prominent place at the Beatles at the Ridge music festival in Walnut Ridge again this year. Contemporary Christian acts will perform all afternoon Saturday, Sept. 21, on the First National Bank Beatles Park Stage.
Justin Warren will headline the Christian acts. Warren is based in Atlanta Ga., and his newest project, called “Moments,” was released in January of this year. The album is a reminder to make the most of every minute that God gives us.
Also performing at the Walnut Ridge festival will be The Central Worship Collective. The band is made up of a group of people that serve in worship at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
The new worship band from Williams Baptist University will be taking the stage in its hometown, as well. The group, composed of WBU students recruited for their musical talents, leads worship during weekly chapel services at Williams.
The WBU Worship Band will lead off the Christian set at 1:00 p.m., followed by The Central Music Collective at 2:30 and Justin Warren at 4:00.
Admission to the Beatles at the Ridge festival is free. The festival runs Sept. 20 and 21, and includes two stages of music, approximately 100 vendors, a Beatles symposium and many other activities.
