As we navigate this unprecedented time, I am increasingly thankful for the events and meetings that continue to occur, especially in person. One such event that we had the opportunity to host as the Foundation this past month was our Annual Board Advance.
In 2015, we began a “tradition” of hosting an Annual Board Advance each August at one of our Arkansas Baptist entities’ campus or location. What started as a means of increasing familiarity with our entities has resulted in a remarkably impactful time each year both for our board and staff. We leave each year with an enlightened awareness of both the needs and scope of each ministry.
The rotation began back in 2015 at Williams Baptist University and culminated this year at Camp Paron. Just like years past, this year was a tremendous time of fellowship and encouragement as we heard about the hidden gem we have at Paron. Their staff were wonderful hosts particularly given the circumstances. I strongly encourage you to take a group to Camp Paron.
We are already looking forward to our time next summer at Williams as we start the rotation again, especially given what is developing with Williams Works. In fact, this past month I have also had the opportunity to participate in board meetings for each of our Universities and am encouraged by how God is advancing these institutions.
Please join me in praying for all of our entities’ campuses and locations…
