LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Volunteers came together at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention office on Monday to pack materials for churches to use to promote the annual Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering (DJAMO).

The 2025 Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering and Week of Prayer, which highlights and encourages Gospel work within the state, is designated on Sept. 14-21. However, churches may choose another week that fits their calendar to designate to pray for missions in Arkansas.  From disaster relief and community outreach to missions discipleship and more, this offering equips Arkansas Baptists to go, serve, and share the hope of Jesus with those who need Him most.

The packet includes prayer guides, envelopes, posters, and buttons. If more is needed, churches can contact Chrissy King at [email protected] or 501-376-4791 ext:5137.

This year’s Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions emphasis theme is derived from Acts 4:20, “As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

“Peter and John were commanded to stop talking about Jesus. But even though they were threatened with imprisonment and death, they had seen Jesus do so many great things that they said they could not stop talking about what they’ve seen and heard,” said Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering Project Coordinator Travis McCormick.

“This year we are asking Arkansas Baptists not to stop talking but to start talking about everything that God is doing through the ministries of the Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering. We want everyone to know about all the lives that are being changed and that they can have a part in it by giving, praying, and going. We believe that when people know, they will want to get involved, but how will they know unless we tell them? Would you join us by being an ambassador for state missions? Would you pray and lead others to pray that God would use the offering to reach the lost in Arkansas? We are excited to see what God is going to do as Arkansas Baptists continue to pray, give, and go and then make a special effort to tell everyone they can about all that He is doing.”

New this year, in addition to the packet sent to each Arkansas Baptist church, a mailer will be sent to various church staff and lay leaders in an effort to increase awareness of Dixie Jackson state missions.
