Six Arkansas Baptist associations are uniting in an area-wide senior adult revival. Calvary, Caroline, Faulkner, Independence, Little Red River, North Pulaski and Pulaski Baptist associations will host revival services for senior adults.
The meetings will be held at Valley Baptist Church, 3328 W Hwy. 36 in Searcy, Monday, Oct.14, through Wednesday, Oct. 16. The services will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude with a free light lunch beginning at 11 a.m.
Messages each day will be brought by Dr. Don Moore, retired executive director of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.
In speaking of the upcoming revival, Moore said, “The rich spiritual heritage of senior adults and the large numbers making up Arkansas Baptist churches adds to the conviction that senior adults could/should form the point of the spear leading the way to revival and awakening in our country. This key demographic must not be ignored in assessing the future potential of our churches. A real visitation of God on these people will doubtless impact at least two more generations.”
Psalm 78:5–7 (ESV) — “… he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.”
