ECON goes virtual, announces speaker lineup

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – This year’s Evangelism and Church Health Conference, usually held in Little Rock, will be all virtual due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The one-day event will take place on January 25th at two different times. The first broadcast will last from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and the other from 6:30 p.m – 8:30 p.m. This year’s conference will feature three dynamic speakers. While the format may be different, the messages promise to be inspiring and uplifting as in previous conferences.

Carey Nieuwhof is a former lawyer and founding pastor of Connexus Church in Barrie, Ontario Canada. He’s a blogger, a best-selling author, and host of the Carey Nieuwhof Leadership Podcast. He’s passionate about encouraging leaders to be the best God has called them to be.

Johnny Hunt is the Senior Vice President of Evangelism and Leadership at the North American Mission Board (NAMB). He was the longtime pastor of First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia, and former president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Hunt has a passion for reaching people for the Gospel and encouraging others to fulfill the Great Commission.

Paul Chitwood is the current President of the International Mission Board (IMB). He was previously the Executive Director and President at the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Chitwood has a heart for the Gospel and a passion to see every people group reached for Christ.

Between each 30-minute speaker, a team member from the ABSC will host a debrief session to discuss the message and answer any questions. Worship sets will feature Dave McKinney and the Cross Church band.

We can’t wait for you to join us so be sure to tune in and watch. Visit absc.org/events/econ to learn more and find the link that will be active on Monday, January 25.
