A Sending Celebration will be observed to recognize 41 new International Mission Board missionaries. The event will be at First Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
“We are very thankful that we can partner together with Southern Baptist churches to cooperatively send and support missionaries,” said IMB President Paul Chitwood. “We are going to celebrate the work of God in the lives of these brothers and sisters, and in their churches, as they obediently follow Him to the nations.”
Missionaries participating in the Sending Celebration represent the following states:
California — 2
Florida — 2
Georgia — 3
Illinois — 1
Indiana — 2
Kentucky — 6
Missouri — 2
New Mexico — 4
North Carolina — 9
Tennessee — 1
Texas — 1
Virginia — 8
During the Sending Celebration, missionaries will be sharing their testimonies, followed by a message from Wes George, pastor of FBC Rogers. IMB trustee chair Carol Pfeiffer will lead a time of prayer for the missionaries, inviting those in attendance to gather around the missionaries for prayer.
Because some of the missionaries will be going to some difficult and hard to reach places, faces of these missionaries will not be publicly shown during the Sending Celebration.
This will be the first of four Sending Celebrations scheduled in 2026. The next will be at the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, June 9-10.
