LITTLE ROCK — A Retirement & Estate Planning Workshop is scheduled for April 23 in Little Rock, offering free guidance on financial stewardship, retirement readiness and estate planning.
Hosted in partnership by the Arkansas Baptist Foundation and Arkansas Baptists, the event is designed to help individuals take practical, faith-centered steps toward financial clarity and long-term peace of mind.
While retirement and estate planning are often associated with older adults, the workshop is intended for anyone who plans to retire or wants to prepare for the future.
Participants will receive guidance on budgeting, determining whether they are saving enough and identifying priorities for long-term planning. The session also will address Social Security and Medicare considerations, along with retirement income and withdrawal strategies.
In addition, the workshop will cover the basics of estate planning, including how and when assets are distributed, planning for incapacity and establishing a legacy giving plan that reflects personal faith and values.
The workshop will feature speakers Joel Rister and Dillon McClain. Rister has served with GuideStone since 1999 in roles including customer solutions, member education, marketing and relationship management. McClain is an estate planning attorney with the Arkansas Baptist Foundation.
The workshop is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention building in Little Rock.
The event is free, and registration is requested. More information is available at absc.org/WORKSHOP.
