NEW ORLEANS (BP) – As Southern Baptists gather on the bayou next June, they’re going to need a place to rest their head. The SBC Executive Committee (EC) is trying to make it easy on messengers as the navigate their way to the Big Easy for the 2023 SBC Annual Meeting & Pastors’ Conference.
The list of convention hotels and other nearby hotels is available now at the meeting website. The information includes the proximity to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the convention room rate.
Reservations for the hotel rooms open Monday, Oct. 3, at 8 a.m. Central.
“We want messengers, guests and exhibitors to map out their budget as they plan to attend the 2023 Annual Meeting,” said Jonathan Howe, VP of communications for the SBC EC.
“We believe attendees having this information early will help them effectively plan to attend this important meeting.”
SBC President Bart Barber recently announced the theme for the 2023 Annual Meeting. Pointing to 2 Corinthians 4:5, he said it will be “Serving the Lord; Serving others.”
Barber said he hopes messengers will make a Gospel impact visiting the city before, during and after the meeting. “I hope that we can show that through Crossover and through the things we do during the annual meeting as well,” he said.
Howe said the city has been a great host for previous SBC annual meetings. “We hope messengers will plan to enjoy all the city has to offer while in town,” he said.
The 2023 SBC Annual Meeting and Pastors’ Conference is set for June 11-14.
