[Ministry Spotlight] Medical-dental clinics continue to see lost come to Christ

PARAGOULD, Ark. – The Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) Missions Team saw multiple people accept Jesus Christ into their hearts on Saturday, Sept. 9, during a medical-dental clinic at West View Baptist Church in Paragould.

Missions Assistant Team Leader and Community Missions Strategist Clint Ritchie said they had six people come to faith in Christ during the clinic. More than 50 people participated in the event.

Medical-dental clinics serve as an avenue for the local church to meet needs and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In total, of the nine clinics they’ve held so far this year, Ritchie said they’ve had 116 souls come to Christ.

On Aug. 26, 10 people put their trust in Jesus during a medical-dental clinic in Sherwood, where the ABSC Missions Team partnered with Fresh Start Community Church, a church plant sponsored by First Baptist Church in Sherwood.

Nine people gave their lives to Christ on July 15 during an event at Watson Chapel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.

On June 24, more than 20 accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior during the clinic hosted at the Olive Street campus of First Baptist Church in Rogers.  Earlier in June, during a clinic in Oden hosted by the churches of the Caddo River Baptist Association, the team saw 37 patients, two of whom gave their lives to Christ.

During a medical-dental clinic on April 29 at Iglesia Bautista Roca Fuerte (Strong Rock Baptist Church) in Little Rock there were 28 professions of faith.

The next medical-dental clinic is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, at Stuttgart First Baptist Church in Stuttgart. These clinics are provided free through the generous giving of ABSC churches to the Dixie Jackson Arkansas Missions Offering.
