RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – It’s been almost two years since we were able to gather to serve a community as the hands and feet of Jesus, but that drought is quickly coming to an end. One Day Acts 1:8 Missions Experience is back on Saturday, October 2nd in Russellville.
One Day is a one-day mission trip for local churches in Arkansas. It is designed for those with a servant heart who want to engage in missions but may not be able to do a traditional weeklong trip. Each year the location changes, but the message of the Gospel and the purpose behind why we do this remains the same.
This year, Arkansas Baptists are partnering with the River Valley Baptist Association and will be serving in and around the area of Russellville. There will be many projects from which to choose such as block parties, prayer walking, door-to-door evangelism, home repairs and yard work, medical/dental clinic, senior adult ministries and many more.
You’re invited to join us! Kick-off begins at 9 a.m. at Cyclone Stadium in Russellville. With COVID-19 still present, precautions are being put in place and will be modified as needed as the day approaches. We want everyone to feel safe and secure while still being able to do what their heart feels led to do.
If you have a student (17 and under) a minor permission form must be signed and returned by September 16. Children that are 7 and under are free but must still have a permission form signed.
Today is the last day to register so don’t wait! We can’t wait to see you and see what God has in store. Visit absc.org/oneday to learn more and to register.
