Acts 1:8 – “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”
The Bible says it best, the Holy Spirit falls on believers by empowering them to be witnesses for Jesus Christ all over the world. He guides their lives to impact the lives of all people beginning with Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the remotest parts of the earth. The everyday Christian may not travel the world, but the application is still clear. Jerusalem, neighboring people, Judea, nearby people, Samaria, neglected people, and the remotest parts of the earth, new people. The church must share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people.
The calendar year, month, week, and days are universal. Therefore Acts 1:8 should help believers with their daily routines with Sundays being worship days, Mondays being preparation days, Tuesdays being neighboring people days, Wednesdays being nearby people days, Thursday being neglected people days, Fridays being new people days, and Saturdays being days of rest.
The average Christian usually does not rest up on Saturday and is not prepared for worship on Sundays. These two days deeply impact the rest of the week. Decide the identity of your neighboring people, nearby people, and neglected people. Who needs to be the new people that you are witnessing to? This will help you with prioritizing God first, family second, and all other people third.
Camp Siloam Days are filled with our closest neighbors, nearby people, neglected people, and new people who must hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. February will mark the beginning of “Camp Siloam Days 2025” coming to an Arkansas Baptist Association near you. Please join these events and hear about the Biblical purpose, vision, and strategy of the camp. There will be door prizes and information handed out at Camp Siloam Days 2025. One of the door prizes will be an adult counselor certificate to attend Camp Siloam in 2025 for FREE. You will not want to miss this opportunity. Many Arkansas Baptist Associations will be partnering with Camp Siloam in hosting these events.
Thank you, Arkansas Baptists, for being an Acts 1:8 convention. Thank you for giving to the Cooperative Program so that people can be saved, discipled, and called in Jesus Christ here in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Camp Siloam’s vision is “to have an Eternal, Global Impact for the Kingdom of God in the world.” Camp Siloam’s strategy is clear in offering camps, retreats, and guest services.
Holy Spirit, empower us to be witnesses for Jesus Christ in our Jerusalem (neighboring people), our Judea (nearby people), our Samaria (neglected people), and the remotest ends of the earth (new people).
