“Premium value and surprisingly affordable” – that’s an increasingly used phrase to describe Ouachita Baptist University, illustrated by the following:
Ouachita is academically excellent. We attract motivated students, and our faculty invests in them, leading to exceptional results – a state leading graduation rate and a 99% placement rate in employment or graduate studies. Our young alumni tell me they’re better prepared than their peers at graduate school and in workplaces.
Ouachita is distinctly Christian. We’re built on a biblical foundation, led by faculty and staff who encourage faith and learning, and surrounded by others with similar values. We desire for students to learn that life is lived most abundantly in response to the love of God through Jesus Christ.
Ouachita is highly relational. We’re a campus community where people know one another and are known. I’m amazed by our graduates who, years after they left Ouachita, remain engaged with their college friend groups and who support one another in their lives.
For these three reasons, Ouachita is a premium value, especially compared to a state university.
Here’s how current parents, who are both teachers and have three daughters currently enrolled stated it, “Ouachita is a place where our daughters will get a solid education while being surrounded by professors and mentors who will constantly encourage them in their walk with Christ.”
And Ouachita is surprisingly affordable. Many families, after accounting for the hidden fees and true expenses of a public university, find it’s the same amount to attend Ouachita.
How is this possible? We work hard to keep it within reach for families. The “sticker price” is offset by robust scholarships, generous gifts by alumni and friends, Arkansas Baptists’ Cooperative Program support, state grants, and careful stewardship by the university.

Thanks, Arkansas Baptists, for the special relationship we share since Ouachita Baptist enrolled its first students in 1886.
