Anticipated nominations for officers to serve at the 2022 Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) Annual Meeting have been announced.
Dr. J.D. “Sonny” Tucker, ABSC Executive Director, said that he has been notified of the intent to nominate the following individuals at the ABSC Annual Meeting to be held October 26-27 at First Baptist Church in Cabot
Convention Officers
Larry D. White, Pastor of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, Conway, is expected to be nominated for the office of convention president by John McCallum, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Hot Springs.
David R. Mitchell, Pastor of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Cabot, is expected to be nominated for the office of first vice president by Stacy Reed, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Batesville.
Johnny Harp, Pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, Cave Springs, is expected to be nominated for the office of second vice president by Rick Grant, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Benton.
Pastors’ Conference Officers
Ronnie Deal, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Greenwood, is expected to be nominated by Brad Lewter, Pastor of Grand Avenue Baptist, Fort Smith, as a candidate to serve as president of the pastors’ conference.
Kim Bridges, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Marmaduke, is expected to be nominated by Rick Hyde from Arkadelphia as a candidate to serve as president of the pastors’ conference.
Roderick Rogers, Pastor of Fordyce Community Baptist Church, Fordyce, who is in the process of planting Surrender Church, North Little Rock, is expected to be nominated by Rusty Ross, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Fordyce, as a candidate for secretary of the pastors’ conference.
