LITTLE ROCK, Ark – Tim Wicker has been named director of Send Network Arkansas.
Wicker, who most recently served as the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) Northwest Arkansas lead strategist, officially began his new role with North American Mission Board (NAMB) on Monday.
Send Network Arkansas was formed in 2022 when the ABSC and NAMB partnered to provide additional resources to start churches in high need areas throughout the state, collaborating in assessing, training, caring for and supporting Arkansas Baptist church planters.
“Its purpose is to help churches plant churches that plant churches. We’re helping churches plant churches for everyone everywhere. It’s a partnership,” Wicker said. Their desire is to come alongside churches to assist with, raise up and support church planters as they work to establish new works across the state and across the country.
As Send Network Arkansas director, Wicker will continue to work closely with the ABSC Missions Team and church planting strategists to identify, assess, train, and help support new church planters.
Multiple events are already on the 2025 Send Network Arkansas calendar for pastors and other church leaders who would like to further develop their church planting vision.
In April, there will be two Sending Labs. Sending Labs are collaborative workshops that will help pastors and other church leadership develop a vision and plan for leading their church to become a Sending Church.
- April 14, 2025 – Nettleton Baptist Church, Jonesboro
- April 15, 2025 – Connect Church, Little Rock
“For anyone interested in being a sending church or getting involved with church planting, these two labs are great one day introductions to the church planting and Send Network family,” Wicker said.
In August, there is the Residency Builder two-day workshop, which is designed to help pastors and church leaders build an intentional process for training qualified leaders in their local church setting. It’s a collaborative experience to help leaders discover and develop their unique plan for equipping potential planters. The participants will leave the Residency Builder with a framework and the beginning steps to implement a residency in their church.
- Aug. 11-12, 2025 – 10200 W 36th St, Little Rock
