Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief continues ministry in Florida

Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief is actively serving Floridians after the recent landfall of Hurricane Ian. Nearly 150 volunteers have been deployed over the last week making over 100 contacts on the ground.

Currently, Corners Chapel Baptist Church shower and laundry unit and Current Gaines feeding unit are actively working in the community to help provide help, healing, and hope.

Next week, the state feeding unit will also be deployed to Florida, as well as recovery units from First Baptist Church in Russellville, the Northwest Association, and Indian Springs Baptist Church.

Since being deployed, volunteers have led three individuals to make professions of faith. According to the most recent reports, there have been two dozen Bibles distributed, 19 Gospel presentations, 439 showers and 170 loads of laundry.

Please continue to pray for survivors as they navigate the days ahead and all Disaster Relief volunteers ministering on the scene.
