Arkansas Baptist Foundation announced that its scholarship applications have opened. The primary deadline for most of the applications is February 1 2021 at 8 a.m. For students that are pursuing a ministry, related degree the secondary deadline is August 1.

Some scholarships may have different deadlines than those listed above, so be sure to check the appropriate dates listed within the scholarship description. Criteria for some will also vary depending on if you’re a member of an Arkansas Baptist Church, a graduating senior in certain areas of the state, and scholarships specific for certain Arkansas Baptist-affiliated schools.

New students applying for scholarships will need to provide two references with their application – one from your Pastor or Youth Pastor and another from someone who can verify your character/work ethic. Returning students applying do not need to resubmit references.

Students can select ‘All Applicable’ on the application so that you only have to submit one form to apply for all the scholarships for which one might qualify. Currently, scholarships are only awarded to those who are in undergraduate studies and seminary/graduate school.

Once you’ve submitted your application, an email confirmation will be sent with a copy of your responses. If you don’t receive one, be sure to check your spam or junk mail. You can email info@abf.org with any questions or concerns regarding your application.

Scholarship money will be sent directly to the university listed on your application. Fall distributions are made by the end of August and spring distributions are made by the end of January. If you decide to attend a different school than listed on your form, be sure to contact the Arkansas Baptist Foundation so they can check certain criteria to make sure your scholarship still applies and that the appropriate school gets the scholarship.
