The Operating Committee of the Executive Board of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) is inviting Arkansas Baptists to pray with them as they continue their search for the next executive director.
“The ABSC Executive Director Search Team considers prayer to be the most important thing we can do,” said Dr. Bill Panneck, senior executive pastor at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro and chairman of the Operating Committee.
“With the voluminous amount of resumes, applications, questionnaires, and letters of recommendation to go through, this task could become overwhelming. So, we are seeking Divine guidance and direction in the process. We are asking God for His perfect man as executive director and to lead us to this man in His perfect timing.”
Arkansas Baptists can join the search team in asking God to show His perfect choice for executive director by following along with this 30-day prayer guide.
The 30-day prayer guide was shared with pastors throughout the state via email. In the correspondence, Interim Executive Director Dr. Rex Horne encouraged Arkansans to use the guide as they ask for “God’s direction for our convention.”
“Thank you for answering God’s call. May He bless you with wisdom, strength, joy and peace. Let’s make a difference for Christ in our limited time in life’s journey,” Horne said.
