In this segment, we feature innovative and exciting things that churches are doing as well as any church staff changes.  We want Arkansas Baptists to know what’s going on around the state and be able to celebrate together and encourage each other.  

Here are recent updates from “around the state.”  

  • Southside Baptist Church, Stuttgart will host Evangelist Alex McFarland, October 9-11 at 6:30 pm each evening. Childcare will be provided for children age 2 and under.  
  • Jeremy Woodall, Campus Minister at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) Baptist Collegiate Ministry, will be inducted into the UAM Sports Hall of Fame on October 6. Woodall said, “This is not a reflection of me, but of doors the Lord has opened.”  
  • Dr. Howard Huddle moved from Southside Baptist Church in Fort Smith to New Haven Baptist Church in Paragould. 
  • Nathan Brown is now serving as pastor at First Baptist Church in Clinton. He and his wife, Kali, are returning to Arkansas after serving in North Carolina.  
  • Colton Evans began serving in student ministry at First Baptist Church in Blytheville in June.  
  • Allyson Kelley is serving in student ministry at Parkway Place Baptist Church.  
  • Mark Liggett is serving in student ministry at First Baptist Church in Searcy.  
  • Jordan Henry will begin serving as Middle School Pastor at First Baptist Church in Lavaca on October 9.  
  • Christian Sprout began serving in children’s ministry at First Baptist Church in Search. 
  • Chelsea Sheffield has moved from preschool director to children’s director at First Baptist Church in Van Buren. 
  • Julia Chaffin is serving in children’s ministry at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
