Camp Siloam hires new Director of Operations

By: ABN News

We are thrilled to announce that Chad and Mandy Plummer are joining the Camp Siloam family on May 31, 2021. Chad will be serving as Camp Siloam’s Director of Operations, the role formerly held by Pat Moore.

Chad grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas at First Baptist Church where he was saved at the age of seven at Vacation Bible School. After graduating high school, Chad headed to Kansas City to work for Bibleman, a live action children’s television show designed to deliver the Gospel to kids all over the United States. The role was exhilarating and rewarding, but Chad felt God call him to leave the traveling lifestyle for a role in the local church. Chad accepted a position at First Baptist Bentonville as the Media Director. While at FBC Bentonville, Chad married the love of his life, Mandy and God has blessed them with three wonderful children. While at FBC Bentonville, Chad had the opportunity to finish his bachelor’s degree at John Brown University in Business Information Systems and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chad has also served as the children’s pastor for the last 5 years at FBC Bentonville.

Chad is equally as excited about joining our leadership team. “I attended Camp Siloam as an elementary student and remember playing box hockey and hearing the gospel,” said Plummer. “I am amazed at how many people have stopped me recently to talk about the impact Camp Siloam has had on their life. From the college student who worked summers in the snack shack to the poor girl who grew up in southern Arkansas and had her way paid to camp by a loving church where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Camp Ministry is gospel ministry and is one of the tools that God has been using in NWA Arkansas for nearly 100 years. I can’t wait to see how God uses Camp Siloam in the next century. To God be the glory great things He has done and will continue to do.”

Jason Wilkie, Executive Director, said that Chad was clearly sent by the Heavenly Father to serve in this role at this time. “The experiences God has led Chad through, the leadership style he brings and the gifting he has is perfect for this position and I think Chad will have a long future at Camp Siloam. God is so faithful. He has provided Chad and Mandy in an amazing way during a challenging season. I think they see His hand at work as well.”

We praise God for all the ways He has used the Plummers for His glory and the incredible experience He has given them. It will be exciting to see how God will use their family through the ministry of Camp Siloam to make an eternal impact for His Kingdom. Please pray for this family as we welcome them to the Camp Siloam Home Team.
