Fifty church planters and leaders from Arkansas Baptist churches gathered at Camp Paron for two days in August for the Hispanic Church Planting Retreat to renew strength, be inspired, and fellowship with others in the ministry.
On August 17, a team of DR volunteers from across the state assembled to serve in a different way.
This year over 5,000 international students have come to study at colleges and universities in Arkansas.
Through the generous support of Arkansas Baptist Churches through the Cooperative Program and the Dixie Jackson State Missions Offering, Church Planting Strategist Chanson Newborn led two church plants on a mission trip in Detroit, Michigan, July 17-23.
Central Baptist Church’s kids’ discipleship class contributed significantly to these baptisms and has allowed the children’s ministry to fulfill its purpose.
Each year, Arkansas Baptist churches are asked to complete the Annual Church Profile (ACP). The Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and their agencies use the data collected to be aware of trends and plan ministry accordingly.
With summertime fading, the new school year is at hand. According to home school, private school, and public school data, just over 513,000 Kindergarten through 12th grade students will be in Arkansas classrooms very soon.
The Missions Team of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) recently hosted two events with the title: Equipping Churches to Minister to Women in Crisis.
