Loving our Muslim neighbors during Ramadan

Arkansas Baptists are invited to love their Muslim neighbors during Ramadan.

The Islamic holy month of Ramadan is a period of 30 days during which Muslims will fast from food and drink during the daylight hours in order to grow closer to God.

This year Ramadan will be observed from around March 22 to April 21.

There are approximately 2 billion Muslims worldwide and 5 to 7 million in the United States. In Arkansas, the vast majority come from some of the most unreached peoples and places around the world and intersect with some of the state’s most influential areas of life. One of the greatest impacts Arkansas Baptists can make among them is to pray for them to find and follow Jesus during this season of spiritual openness.

Arkansas Baptists are invited to join in praying first during this time to love their Muslim neighbors. Devotional material and prayer prompts will be provided each Wednesday during Ramadan via email.
