An update from our Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief regarding the ongoing effort to support LA/MS in recovering from Hurricane Ida.

This is the opportunity that college students have in the uniquely special season of life of the after high school but before being a professional kicks in.
Driving my son to school one morning a few years ago, my five-year-old stated, “Mommy, do bad guys do bad things because they do not know Jesus?” I replied, “Yes you have it right—bad guys do bad things because they don’t know Jesus, but God has given us the task to share Jesus with them.” After pondering for a moment, my son replied back, “Mommy, I think I may be too scared to do that, but we could make a big sign and put it up.”
In recent years, church planting has been elevated to a key focus in the state of Arkansas. The Church Planting Team of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) aims to come alongside churches to assist with, raise up and support church planters as they work to establish new works across the state and across the country. Through leadership assessments, training, development, resources, prayer and financial support, the Church Planting Team helps churches plant between 15 to 30 new works each year.
