The growing ethnic diversity of Arkansas requires more intentional church planting efforts among these diverse populations.  That is why Manolo and Gaby Vasquez have been sent by Calvary Baptist Church in Hope, to plant Iglesia Bautista Biblica in Texarkana. Manolo had been serving as the Pastor of the Hispanic Community in Hope when it was decided that they should plant a church in Texarkana.

Manolo has been intentionally planning events such as children’s camps, rodeo festivals, Vacation Bible School, Bible studies, and many other activities in efforts to share the Gospel with the Hispanic community in Texarkana. They have received great support from local churches in Texarkana and were donated a space at a local church to meet for services and meetings. Manolo is also hoping to be able to develop a partnership with a local radio station so that he may be able to reach more Hispanics in the area.

PRAYER POINTS: Please pray for Manolo and his wife Gaby, as well as their four children, while they continue to connect with the Hispanic community.  Pray that doors will open for them to open a food bank, and that barriers will be broken so that they may spread God’s word.

When you give to your church, you give to missions through the Cooperative Program, bringing the Good News to the whole world. Find more CP resources at ABSC.org/CPShare.
